A COURTESY VISIT TO THE VICE -CHANCELLOR, UNIVERSITY OF ILESA BY THE EXECUTIVES OF THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT PAY

The Vice-Chancellor, ably represented by the Chairman, Committee of Deans, played host to the Registrar of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) in the early hours of Wednesday 28th May,2024. The visit, which coincided with the organization's 10th year anniversary in Ilesa, attracted a high-powered delegation of NIM executives from across Southwest zone. In her remarks, the Registrar of the Institute, Mrs Taiwo Ganiyat Olusesi, MNIM reiterated the mandate of NIM aimed at providing an array of benefits ranging from education, information and networking services to the discharge of other allied benefits to its members. According to her, the Institute had lived up to the expectation of the general public in terms of raising the level of their personal effectiveness through sharing of information, bothering on best practices. She added that the Institute was also committed to the provision of a veritable platform for young adults to demonstrate their expertise, experience, creativity and managerial skills. On a final note, she stressed the resolve of the Institute to forge a viable synergy with the University in sensitizing the students on the need to become virile members, stressing that," NIM is a part of the social order of society which governs behaviour and expectations of individuals, while at the same time, regulates business operations and ethics". The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the Registrar and her team for the visit. He explained that the University Management placed a high premium on the importance of capacity development of staff and that the University was open to strategic partnerships that would add value to it. The visit was climaxed with presentation of gifts to the Vice-Chancellor and other Principal Officers.
